LEARNING AND TEACHING EXCELLENCE: AWARDS, FELLOWSHIPS

Learning and teaching excellence continues to be highlighted across the University. Building on the Faculty-based awards, the USQ Learning and Teaching Award program recognises excellence in teaching, programs and service. In addition the USQ Learning and Teaching Fellowship program continues to thrive and to highlight the excellent teaching of our USQ community. Staff across USQ continued to work on Learning and Teaching Performance Fund and Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) grants

AT A NATIONAL LEVEL: OFFICE FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING (PREVIOUSLY ALTC)

2012 Associate Professor Jacquie McDonald completed an OLT Leadership Grant, with USQ as the lead institution, McDonald, J., Star, C., Nagy, J., Burch, T., Cox, M. (2012), "Identifying, building and sustaining leadership capacity for communities of practice in higher education," Office of Learning and Teaching. The final report is posted on the OLT web site http://www.olt.gov.au/project-identifying-building-and-sustaining-leadership-capacity-communities-practice-higher-educatio and the project website is at www.cops.org.au.

2012 Associate Professor Jacquie McDonald received her OLT Fellows completion pin at an ALTFellows forum ceremony in April, after completing Fellowship titled Community, Domain, Practice: Facilitator catch cry for revitalising learning and teaching through communities of practice. USQ's recipients of Office for Learning & Teaching Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

These staff made significant contributions to the student experience and have been recognised nationally for their efforts.
